NUITF is pleased to announce that its traditional three-year “Outside” (apprentice lineman) training program is now also available in a topic-based format — giving Joint Apprenticeship Training Committees and training centers a second way to deliver the same rigorous curriculum linemen have relied on for years.
What’s New
The topic-based format covers the same three years of instruction as the traditional program, built to the same current NESC and NEC standards. Rather than moving through content strictly by year, material is organized into individual topic-based modules that training centers can assign and sequence to fit their own calendar, cohort makeup, and make-up training needs — while still delivering the complete Outside Lineman curriculum by the end of the apprenticeship.
The traditional year-by-year format remains available for training centers that prefer it. Both paths lead to the same outcome: a fully trained, job-ready outside lineman.
Pricing
Pricing for the topic-based format is virtually identical to the traditional program — there is no meaningful cost difference for training centers that choose the new structure.
