The National Utility Industry Training Fund (NUITF) is proud to announce a new partnership with Unmanned Safety Institute (USI) and Pro Tech Skills Institute (PTSI) to deliver ASTM-approved drone pilot licensing training to the utility industry — and other non-construction sectors.
This program combines USI’s world-class, ASTM-approved training curriculum with hands-on, in-person instruction from PTSI, giving participants a complete path to earning their drone pilot license. It’s designed to prepare the utility workforce for the growing role drones play in inspecting and maintaining critical infrastructure.
Where This Training Applies
Licensed drone pilots are increasingly essential across a wide range of utility operations, including water tower surface and structural inspection, nuclear containment and cooling tower surveys, electric transmission and substation inspection, gas pipeline methane leak and corrosion detection, and water utility dam and reservoir safety monitoring.
